I am currently preparing work for a variety of upcoming exhibitions and competitions around the UK. The main one is the Norfolk & Norwich Open Studios, my studio will be open to the public on Sat 26th & Sun 27th May, Sat 2nd & Sun 3rd June, Sat 9th & Sun 10th June. It’ll be a great day out for anyone interested in art and brochures are out now with maps of various art trails – I am part of the Norwich Art Trail (https://www.facebook.com/?ref=logo#!/groups/norwicharttrail). My studio will be filled with a variety of work, ranging from small figurative images, drawn using a quill and bright watercolour ink, drawings of figures burnt onto wood, and various sizes of drawings with figures moving around and across the page. I have a few large scale drawings to exhibit for this that I am very excited about and can’t wait to show off and see what people think of them!
I’m very excited to find out about two drawings that I have submitted to the Norfolk Contemporary Arts Society annual exhibition, held at the Forum in Norwich:
Along with these exhibitions, I am also currently working on drawings for the Jerwood Drawing Prize (http://www.parkerharris.co.uk/competition/jerwood-drawing-prize-2012#general_info), the Cambridge Artworks Ltd Call for Entries exhibition (https://sites.google.com/site/cambridgeartworks), and the John Ruskin Prize 2012 (http://www.bigdrawshop.co.uk/collections/big-draw-events/products/the-john-ruskin-prize-2012). It’s definitely a thrilling but busy time of year!
